I am 69 years old. For more than 50 years I lived in survival mode - a hidden life of torment. I tried every type of counseling, therapy, medication, spiritual book and ministry that was offered. I was resolved that freedom and peace would never be part of my life.
My emotions were in constant turmoil, with brief times of fleeting peace found in Christ and in creativity. I fought depression, despair and hopelessness and my health was always fragile. |
I had a lifetime of faith and Christian teaching and commitment, but found no peace. After a time with LivingOaks teaching and ministry, I was able to see where lifelong core beliefs and values did not line up with Biblical truths and the love of God. I saw how life circumstances had turned to bitterness, resentment, judgement, misery and hopelessness.
